Terms
Version 2026-11. These terms are between you and Path2ai Ltd, trading as Path. By ticking the box at signup, you agree to them on behalf of your business.
Who we are
Path is a trading name of Path2ai Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17255476. Our registered office is Clarence Street Chambers, 32 Clarence Street, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, United Kingdom, SS1 1BD. Our VAT number is GB 528 0526 96.
You can reach us at support@pathpos.com or on 07943 490 548.
What Path is
Path is point of sale software for businesses in the United Kingdom. It has an app for your tablet, and a back office you use in a browser. Path is for businesses, not for people buying as consumers.
Signing up
- You must be authorised to sign up on behalf of the business.
- The details you give us must be correct, and you must keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for your logins and PINs, and for what your staff do with them.
Free days and the price
- The first 90 days are free, starting on the day you confirm your signup. You do not need a card to start.
- After that the price is £9.99 a POS a month plus VAT.
- We count every POS on your Registers page on the day of the bill. Delete one to stop paying for it.
- We bill on the 1st of each month, by card or Direct Debit through our payment provider. We email you a VAT invoice.
- If you switch on text messages, we charge for them at the price shown in your back office.
- We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before we change a price.
If you do not pay
If a bill is not paid, we warn you on the POS for 14 days. After that the POS stops selling until the bill is paid. We keep your data during this time.
Card payments
Path does not take card payments for you. If you take cards, your agreement and your rates are with your own card provider.
Your data
The data you put into Path stays yours. Our Privacy Policy says how we look after it. Where you hold details of your own customers or staff, you decide how they are used, and we handle them on your behalf.
When we handle that data on your behalf, you are the controller and we are your processor. We will:
- Use it only to provide Path, on your instructions, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Make sure our people and suppliers keep it confidential, and keep it secure.
- Use only the suppliers listed in our Privacy Policy, tell you before we add or change one, and hold each to the same duties. You may object within 30 days of being told. If we cannot resolve it, you may cancel.
- Help you answer requests from people about their data, and help you meet your own security and reporting duties.
- Tell you without undue delay if we find a breach that affects your data.
- Delete it, or let you take a copy, when this agreement ends, as described below.
- Give you the information you reasonably need to check we are doing this.
You are responsible for having a lawful reason to put that data into Path, and for telling the people it is about.
What you are responsible for
- Your prices, your VAT settings and your own tax records.
- Keeping the tablet you use working and connected.
- Using Path lawfully.
Our service and our liability
We aim to keep Path running. The POS keeps selling cash sales without a connection and sends them when it is back. We provide Path with reasonable skill and care, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. We will try to tell you in advance about planned maintenance.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
Apart from that:
- We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect loss.
- Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in those 12 months.
Path helps you keep records, but it is not tax or legal advice.
Ending this agreement
You can cancel any time by emailing support@pathpos.com. There is no long-term contract. Your service stops at the end of the calendar month in which you cancel. We do not refund part of a month.
You can take a copy of your data for 30 days after your service stops. After that we delete it from our live systems within 90 days, and from our backups as they expire. We keep billing and tax records for as long as the law requires.
We may end this agreement on 30 days’ notice. We may suspend or end it sooner if you seriously break these terms, use Path unlawfully, or leave a bill unpaid for more than 30 days.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will tell you first. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. If you carry on using Path after that date, you accept the new terms.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
